Getting started with Nostr Africa Hosting

Order, pay for and manage your managed WordPress website.

Nostr Africa Hosting gives you your own WordPress website with free SSL (https) and an address like yourname.hosting.nostr.africa. This guide takes you from creating an account to logging in to your new site.

All plans are monthly, priced in Rwandan francs, and include one WordPress website with free SSL.

Prices and specifications as shown on hosting.nostr.africa in October 2026. The amount on your invoice is the amount to pay.

2Create your account

  1. Go to hosting.nostr.africa and click Sign up.
  2. Enter your full name, email address and a password (at least 10 characters, with an upper-case letter, a lower-case letter and a number).
  3. Open the verification email we send you and click the link.
  4. Wait for approval. New accounts are reviewed by our team, and we email you once yours is approved. Until then, signing in shows a message that your account is awaiting approval.

3Order your website

  1. Sign in and click Order hosting in the menu.
  2. Choose your site address: type a short name (for example myshop) and click Check. Your site will be at myshop.hosting.nostr.africa.
  3. Own domain (optional): if you already own a domain such as example.com, enter it under “Have your own domain?”. You can also connect a domain later.
  4. Click Order on the plan you want. Your invoice opens, with an invoice number (for example NA-2026-000123).

4Pay by MTN MoMo or bank transfer

Payments are made by mobile money or bank transfer and checked by our team.

  1. Get the payment details: contact us on WhatsApp +250 787 176 382 or email jmugisha789@gmail.com, quoting your invoice number. We send you the MoMo number or bank account to pay to.
  2. Pay exactly the invoice amount. If you can, use the invoice number as the payment reference or message.
  3. Back on the invoice page, enter the transaction ID from your MoMo SMS or bank receipt in Transaction ID / reference and click Submit payment reference.
  4. We check that the money has arrived and approve the payment. Your website is then set up automatically.
Good to knowCard and online payments are not available yet. Because payments are checked by a person, approval is not instant. If you have not heard from us, send your invoice number on WhatsApp.

5Follow the setup

Click Websites and then your site address. Before payment is verified the site shows as reserved. After approval you can watch the progress:

When everything is ready the page shows “Your site is live”, with links to your site and to the WordPress admin.

6Your first WordPress login

  1. On your site page, click Show my WordPress login.
  2. The username and password are shown only once. Save them somewhere safe, such as a password manager.
  3. Open the WordPress admin link and sign in. You will be asked to choose a new password the first time.

7Managing your account

Keep your own copiesBackups are not included in the hosting plans at the moment. Keep your own copies of important content, for example with a WordPress backup or export tool.
