Getting started with Nostr Pay

Receive and send Bitcoin Lightning payments from your own wallet page.

payment.nostr.africa · Updated October 2026

Nostr Pay is a Bitcoin Lightning wallet and payments page at payment.nostr.africa, built on the open-source LNbits software. Amounts are shown in sats (satoshis, small units of bitcoin).

How you get a walletNostr Pay is ordered as a build. There is no public sign-up: we create your account and give you your login details.
Please readLightning payments cannot be reversed once sent, and we cannot promise that every invoice will settle. Start with small amounts, keep only what you need in the wallet, and keep your login details private: anyone with access to your wallet can spend from it.

1Sign in

  1. Go to payment.nostr.africa.
  2. Sign in with the username and password we gave you.
  3. Your wallet opens, showing your balance and recent payments.

2Receive a payment

  1. In your wallet, click Receive.
  2. Enter the amount and an optional note (memo), then create the invoice.
  3. Show the QR code to the payer, or copy the invoice text and send it to them.
  4. When the payment arrives, it appears in your wallet's payment list. Invoices expire after a while; create a new one if needed.

3Send a payment

  1. Click Send.
  2. Paste the Lightning invoice you received, or scan its QR code.
  3. Check the amount and description, then confirm the payment.
