Getting started with PhotoCraft

A free, Photoshop-style image editor that runs in your web browser.

photoshop.nostr.africa · Updated October 2026

PhotoCraft is a free image editor that runs entirely in your browser at photoshop.nostr.africa. There is nothing to install and no sign-up.

What you can do

  • Work with layers, masks and adjustment layers (for example Levels, Curves, Hue/Saturation)
  • Make selections, apply filters, draw and add text
  • Add layer styles such as shadows, glows and strokes
  • Open Photoshop (PSD) files

Your images stay with you

PhotoCraft runs on your own device. Your images are not uploaded to our server: they are opened from, and saved back to, your own computer.

Early alphaPhotoCraft is in an early alpha stage. Some features may be missing or may behave differently from other editors, and the app can occasionally fail. Save your work often and keep a copy of your original images.

1What you need

2Open the editor

  1. Go to photoshop.nostr.africa.
  2. Wait while the page shows “Loading the image editor…”. On a slow connection this can take a while.
  3. If a message says it is taking longer than usual, click Reload to try again.

3Edit an image

  1. Use the File menu to open an image from your computer, or to start a new document.
  2. Use the tools, layers and adjustments to make your changes. Adjustment layers keep your original pixels unchanged, so you can change or remove an edit later.
  3. Use the File menu again to save or export the result to your computer.
